The American Medical Writers Association (AMWA), founded in 1940, is a nonprofit organization of medical communication professionals located worldwide. AMWA serves the US and Canada. Its mission is to promote excellence in writing, editing, and producing both printed and electronic medical communications. AMWA Michigan Chapter is a nonprofit organi... zation with more than 85 members located throughout both the upper and lower peninsulas. We have regular meetings and social gatherings to give members an opportunity to network with other professionals. We also feature guest speakers on topics of interest to our members. AMWA Michigan strives to operate within the principles set out in the AMWA Code of Ethics and is in alignment with AMWA's Position Statement on the Contribution of Medical Writers to Scientific Publications The chapter is governed by an Executive Council in accordance with its Bylaws.
