Brenda McCallum the company's director was approached by an Audit company who were in need of a payroll service to assist their clients, with this very important function. Brenda McCallum came to South Africa from Scotland in 1975. She had young children at the time, and worked part time in accounting / sales positions until 1978 when she was emplo... yed on a full time basis by the SA Permanent Building Society. In 1982 Brenda moved towns, and was hired by an American Construction Company. After few months with the company she was approached by management and asked to handle the company's payroll function. There to manage weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and expatriate payrolls. In 1999 the company re-located overseas. At that time, Brenda was approached by an Audit company who were in need of payroll services, and so Alba Payroll Services (Pty) was born. At present we employ another three payroll administration personnel, and handle over 80 payrolls, monthly, weekly and bi-weekly.
