We are a small startup focused on delivering high performance analytical software applications to the P&C insurance and reinsurance industry. We believe that truly great systems are built "from the inside out" rather than "from the outside in". Building "from the inside out" means starting with the core system architecture and making sure it is wel... l grounded in the domain problem at hand. This is the polar opposite to designing "from the outside in", which can be characterized as starting with a focus on a list of required application features. Building "from the inside out" requires a clear product vision, ideally based on domain expertise combined with a good understanding of available technologies and strong system architecture skills. In the software development world this is known as "domain-driven design". After nearly 3 decades in the P&C insurance and reinsurance industry Anders decided to draw on his unique experience to start Actuarial & ERM Solutions LLC to build innovative enterprise class analytical applications. This decision was based on a passion for building software as well as a belief that with the right combination of product vision, domain expertise, and system development experience, superior products can be developed for the P&C insurance and reinsurance market. During his career, Anders has spent time in all the traditional types of actuarial roles, such a pricing and reserving, as well as time in nontraditional roles such as CRO and software product management. Throughout these roles, he has been involved in building systems and automating analytical processes. In particular, while at Aon Re (now Aon Benfield ) and RMS , his focus on software development allowed him to hon his software development skills to a professional level.
