The ACCESS team brings together knowledge, skill, experience and a commitment to excellence in service provision. We specialise in case management and multi-disciplinary neurological rehabilitation for adults and children with brain injury and spinal cord injury. ACCESS is a multidisciplinary team of Allied Health Professionals including Occupation... al Therapy, Speech & Language Pathology, Physiotherapy and Social Work, enabling us to provide a full range of specialist clinical services. These include cognitive assessment and retraining, assessment and treatment of communication disorders, psychosocial assessment and counselling for the client and their family, behaviour support programs, return to work programs, functional assessments, driving assessment and remediation, physical therapy, study skills assistance and independent living programs. We have strong network relationships with Medical, Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology practitioners as well as with other rehabilitation providers in the public and private sectors. Our comprehensive rehabilitation programs are delivered by experienced, skilled health professionals who have specialised in the field for many years. All programs can be offered in the community setting or in our consulting rooms at Hurlstone Park. Our clinicians are accredited as FIM and weeFIM assessors and are trained in comprehensive Care Needs Assessments and PCANS-2 Paediatric Assessments. We regularly participate in professional development and training to remain current with best practise. Our treatment programs and case management services reflect the philosophy of person-centred practise and aim to maximise independence, participation, and quality of life. All Allied Health professionals on our team are also experienced case managers and accredited by the Lifetime Care & Support Authority.
