Established in 1975 as a small sheet metal fabricator in Melbourne, Able Industries Engineering is proud to be celebrating its 40th Birthday as a successful Australian-family owned and operated company. Starting in a team of just four staff, Bryan Martyn took ownership of the business in 1976 at its Spotswood site and during the 1990's moved to its... current site in South Kingsville. In 1999, Bryan's son, Stephen Martyn took on the role of Managing Director, and has overseen the expansion of the metal fabrication company, which now boasts the quality craftsmanship and knowledge of over 60 full-time staff, along with a specialised facility in South Kingsville and a second factory on the site of the original business in Spotswood. The company's key to the company's success over the past 40 years has been the company's focus on continual improvement in the company's products and looking after the company's customers. The company invest significantly in research and development, best-practice systems and procedures, advanced engineering technologies and most importantly, the company's people and the company's clients. Able Industries Engineering has been certified since 1991 according to the most recent International Organisation for Standardizations' ISO 9001:2008. The company is also a Defence Recognised Supplier, a member of The Australian Industry and Defence Network (AIDN) and a member of Australian Industry Group (AIG). Some of the business' most iconic projects the public would recognise around Melbourne alone, include Crown Casino and Federation Square - right down to smaller public infrastructure projects such as rubbish bins and planter boxes.
