We take our inspiration from Sir Roger Bannister the first athlete to run one full mile in under 4 minutes. Before him breaking the 4 Minute Barrier was thought of as The Impossible Dream. The challenge had not been overcome for centuries. While even the best doctors advised against it, Sir Roger Bannister believed it could be done. After months of intense training, perseverance and dedication, he achieved the Impossible Dream in 1954 at Oxford. Inspired by him, a fellow athlete broke the record 2 weeks later. Over the next 3 years it was conquered over 16 times. A record not broken for centuries was now being broken regularly. All it took was for someone to believe that it could be done and lead the way.
