We need to reverse the current trend of losing key mid-career workers by strengthening and growing local, year-round, competitive-wage employment. What Chamber functions and programs will change? The Chamber programs you know and have supported over the years will largely continue under the Traverse Connect name. Significant new programs will be developed to meet the needs of our businesses now and for the future. In a nutshell, the new programs will help create a balanced and diversified regional economy. They will help businesses find and keep great employees that will propel your companies forward. We are taking a critical look at our existing bench of programs to see where the gaps are. In 2020, our focus will be on new Economic Strategy Sessions, a revamped small business award and a website and marketing program focused on attracting talent to our region's employers.
