Stoughton Utilities Employee Directory

Stoughton Utilities is a municipal water utility serving the city of Stoughton, responsible for delivering safe drinking water infrastructure and managing critical public health initiatives. The company undertook a comprehensive citywide lead service line replacement project designed to eliminate lead contamination from its water distribution syste... m and protect public health. As part of this initiative, Stoughton Utilities coordinated the replacement of lead service lines at over 700 residential and commercial properties throughout the city, with the objective of achieving 100 percent lead-free water delivery by the end of the project period. The utility partnered with Five Star Energy Services, an experienced contractor specializing in water infrastructure work, to execute the construction and installation efforts across multiple neighborhoods and districts. Property owners who submitted authorization forms to Stoughton Utilities were enrolled in the program automatically, with no additional action required until contacted directly by Five Star Energy Services to schedule their individual replacements. The contractor managed all scheduling logistics, reaching out to homeowners through in-person visits or door hangers to coordinate construction timelines that accommodated individual property needs and minimized disruption to residents. Given the scale of the project and the number of properties involved, scheduling extended across multiple seasons, with some property owners not contacted until summer, fall, or early winter months. Stoughton Utilities demonstrated its commitment to transparency and stakeholder communication by providing regular project status updates to the public as Five Star Energy Services progressed through different neighborhoods. This large-scale infrastructure modernization reflects the utility's dedication to water quality, regulatory compliance, and safeguarding the health and safety of the communities it serves.Read More
