Our journey began while I was working as a Network Specialist when the Cloud was just starting to gain traction. Like most Information Technology (IT) personnel, I spent most of my time monitoring the network, help-desk operations, and technical control implementation (Firewalls, IDS, IPS, Qualys Scanning, etc.). To make the story concise, I worked hard, found a reputable consulting firm and began working on the certification. Only to have the firm not be the experts they presented themselves to be and the audit went horribly wrong.
