We also support and use organic, natural, and sustainable ingredients when possible. Located in downtown San Mateo, our kitchen is led by highly talented Executive Chef Chanan Kamen, who perfected his artisanal techniques at San Francisco restaurants Quince and Jardinere, and New York restaurants Picholine and Tabla. He further honed his skills by working at seven different restaurants in Italy, in seven different regions, each of which bears a minimum of one Michelin star. The team behind Osteria Coppa also includes partners Paul and Julie Shenkman and acclaimed chef/partner Lewis Rossman, who own our sister restaurant Sam's Chowder House in Half Moon Bay.
