Nurturing Minds, Inc is a U.S.-based (501)(3)(c) non-profit organization that works with its Tanzanian partner, SEGA, to construct and develop the Sega Girls School. Nurturing Minds' specific role is to raise funds and provide technical support to the Sega Girls School. The Sega Girls School is a residential secondary school in Tanzania that educat... es vulnerable girls who are unable to attend school due to extreme poverty. The school is rapidly growing, currently supporting 150 students in Forms I-III (Grades 8-10) and in two remedial classes. Our mission is to educate Tanzanian girls who are poor, marginalized, and at-risk of becoming involved in exploitative forms of child labor. Founder & Executive Director, Polly Dolan (left), holds a Master's degree in International Administration, and has been living and working in Eastern and Southern Africa since 2007. In 2007, Polly founded Nurturing Minds to help meet the growing need for safe and supportive school environments for underprivileged Tanzanian girls.
