Modern Sprout Employee Directory

MODERN SPROUT was created by the two of the company, two people who live and work in a tiny apartment. As avid cooks, eaters, and project planners, the company decided the next logical step was to grow the company's own garden. Unfortunately, the company has no space. (The company's small Chicago apartment doesn't have a yard). The company bought p... lanter boxes and filled them with botanicals, then stuffed them on the company's balcony, in the company's windows, and any other places they'd soak in sunlight. Despite the company's enthusiastic efforts, the company soon found ourselves surrounded by dry, lifeless shrubs. The company's busy schedules didn't leave the company with much time or energy for checking pH levels in soil or singing to the company's plants. No matter how green the company's thumbs were, the company couldn't grow anything with the company's hands full. The company were desperate for a fool-proof way to cultivate healthy herbs, vegetables, and flowers, yet maintain the company's self-esteem. The company wanted a victory garden, not planters full of defeat. After researching non-traditional options, the company found hydroponics. A method of cultivation that's clean, self-maintaining, and yields fantastic results, hydroponics immediately seemed perfect for busy people like the company. But every kit the company tried was expensive, difficult to set up, and more homely than homey. The company were unimpressed with the company's options, so the company planted the seeds for Modern Sprout. Now the company provides planters that are simple, stylish, and fertile with success.Read More
