Microchip Computer Solutions Inc. is an Illinois-based IT services and infrastructure provider serving small businesses and K-12 school districts across the region. Founded in 2003, the company has built its reputation on a customer-first approach grounded in transparency, reliability, and technical expertise. MCS initially gained market traction b... y combining competitive hardware pricing with professional installation and support services, winning multiple computer rollout bids from school districts seeking cost-effective technology deployments. Recognizing the industry shift from on-premise infrastructure to cloud-based solutions, the company made a strategic decision to develop proprietary hosting capabilities rather than rely on third-party data center providers. This move gave MCS direct control over service reliability and performancea critical advantage when outages occur. The company invested in its own data center infrastructure, bonded T1 lines for redundancy, secured its own IP block, and configured servers tailored to customer requirements. This foundation enabled MCS to expand its service offerings beyond basic website and email hosting into a broader suite of managed IT solutions. By combining hardware procurement expertise with in-house infrastructure management and technical support, Microchip Computer Solutions has differentiated itself as a full-service IT partner capable of handling the complete technology lifecycle for its target markets. The company's approach emphasizes treating customers with the same care and integrity its leadership would expect, positioning MCS as a trusted alternative to larger, impersonal IT service providers in the small business and education sectors.Read More
