His entrepreneurial spirit and creativity led to the inception of Sensio, now operating as Made by Gather, in 2003 when he was just 25 years old. Although he acknowledges that an understanding of management principles, marketing, and product design + merchandising is essential, he is quick to credit determination and interpersonal relationships as the key to success. Shae is best known for pioneering a revolution in the kitchenware category. He is ahead of the curve with the modern consumers shifting lifestyles, behaviors and preferences and believes that kitchen essentials should serve more than a utilitarian purpose in their lives. The company has since grown to include multiple consumer brands, a robust private label business, and today has over 100 employees across New York City, Montreal, Hong Kong and China.
