Longfellow's Wayside Inn Employee Directory

The year 2016 will mark 300 years since David How was granted a license to operate a House of Public Entertainment, known today as Longfellows Wayside Inn. As we begin planning the Inns tricentenial celebrations, there is nothing more important than strengthening the Inns finances so that future generations may see history come alive and enjoy the... Inn and its beautiful grounds as we do today. Over the years, the Inn has seen its challenges. The devastating fire in December 1955 was one of the Inns darkest days, but with the support of thousands of people from near are far, the Inn was rebuilt. Today, the Inn operates as a self-sustaining nonprofit organization. Our revenues come principally from Inn operations and events, but that is simply not enough. Charitable donations bridge this gap. We rely on the generosity of friends like you to maintain and restore the buildings and infrastructure, which include over 125 acres of land and 9 buildings. Historic preservation is expensive and the uncertain economic climate of the past six years has taken a toll on the Inns reserves. Much work needs to be done. Your support is vital to this work. I hope that you will join me and the board of trustees with a tax-deductible gift to support the Inn. Every gift is important and we appreciate your generosity. I look forward to seeing you at the Inn soon!Read More
