What does Chicago Fire Juniors do?

The CFJ Cadet program is a training program for recreational teams in the Naperville Premier League. CFJ allows recreational teams to register with CFJ where CFJ will assign a staff coach, extend the training curriculum, and offer opportunities for players with in the club such as game day on the field activities. Micro League Soccer is an in-house... program for players too young or unable to compete on a travel team. Both programs are designed to develop players for CFJ's travel teams. What does Micro League Soccer have to offer? Micro League Soccer is focused on player development. We strive to create a learning-focused experience by eliminating the "must win" stress placed on the player and team and teaching individual skills. The Chicago Fire has a Player Development system with five levels which follow a curriculum of developing creative and confident soccer players throughout each stage (Micro League Soccer, Chicago Fire Juniors travel teams, Chicago Fire Academy, Chicago Fire Super 20s/ PDL, Chicago Fire). Micro League Soccer is an important stage as it is the foundation from where the player grows. Micro League Soccer prepares the player for CFJ training and begins the process of tooling the player with the skills necessary for success in competition. How many seasons are offered? Starting the Spring 2010, Naperville participants must register through the Naperville Park District. Wheaton participants are to register through CFJ. Micro League Soccer will play in the fall, winter, and spring seasons. Summer camps are offered during June and July. Players have to register each season.Read More
