Since 1968, the Vocational Development Center, or VODEC, has been a cornerstone in providing vocational training and support services to individuals with disabilities, particularly developmental disabilities. Initially an affiliate of a local Area Education Agency, VODEC transitioned into a private non-profit corporation in the early 1970s. Over nearly four decades, the organization has positively impacted thousands of clients by offering them a realistic work environment and instilling essential work habits. VODEC's expansion over the past decade includes three work centers and two adult day-habilitation centers, alongside residential services, demonstrating a commitment to comprehensive community support.
