What is PeaceTech Lab?
PeaceTech Lab (PTL) is a global non-profit organization dedicated to harnessing the power of technology, data, and media to save lives and foster peace worldwide. A core component of PTL's work involves the rigorous combatting of hate speech. To effectively address online toxicity, the organization has undertaken comprehensive research into the unique legal environments governing hate speech, analyzing how different jurisdictions define and enforce regulations against it.
In collaboration with Hogan Lovells, PeaceTech Lab developed an extensive comparative law survey, meticulously detailing regulatory frameworks across various countries. This initiative involved a team of over 50 legal professionals, guided by the online speech expertise of partners Christopher Wolf and Christelle Coslin, to provide a cross-jurisdictional understanding of these complex legal landscapes.
