What is Global Grassroots?
Global Grassroots was an organization dedicated to empowering women and girls in post-conflict and underserved communities across East Africa. Through its unique 'Conscious Social Change' training, which blended mindfulness, trauma-healing, and social entrepreneurship, the company supported nearly 1,000 African change agents from 2006 to 2023. These agents were equipped with the skills and resources to launch their own social purpose ventures. Although operations in East Africa concluded in October 2023, the organization's legacy persists through former staff in Rwanda and Uganda, with a vision to foster a global movement for collaborative, inner-driven change.
