What is Giocosa?
Established in 1988, the Giocosa Foundation initially aimed to offer an alternative to long-term institutional care for youth facing significant emotional and behavioral challenges. Over the years, Giocosa has strategically expanded its service portfolio to encompass basic foster care, Therapeutic foster care, Habilitative foster care, and Pervasive Developmental Disorder foster care, alongside adoption services. Licensed by the Texas Department of Family Protective Services and partnering with the Travis County Juvenile Probation Department, Giocosa serves individuals aged 0-18 from all backgrounds. What's next for Giocosa?
With substantial late-stage funding and a recent strategic investment, Giocosa is well-positioned for continued expansion and enhancement of its critical services. The influx of capital is expected to fuel further development in its foster care programs, potentially increasing capacity and reach within its existing service areas and possibly exploring new geographical markets. Strategic initiatives may focus on leveraging technology to improve service delivery, expanding specialized therapeutic programs, and strengthening partnerships with state agencies and juvenile probation departments. This financial backing is crucial for sustaining its mission-driven operations and ensuring that more children and adolescents find stable, nurturing family environments.
