Founded in Bozeman in 1982 by retired Air Force General Robert C. Mathis and his wife, Greta, Eagle Mount began with a vision to provide recreational opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Initially focusing on alpine skiing, the organization has since expanded its reach and programming. By 1989, Eagle Mount had established a presence in Billings, and today, it offers a diverse array of 11 programs, including ski/snowboard, cycling, rock climbing, horseback riding, and day camp.
