What is Bloom?
Bloom is a program of YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley, operating from downtown San Rafael, CA. For over two decades, Bloom has been dedicated to empowering individuals by providing a comprehensive, two-week wardrobe at no cost. This initiative is specifically designed to enhance employment opportunities and foster community engagement for women, men, and children. The program collaborates with more than 60 partner agencies across Marin County, ensuring a broad reach and consistent support for its participants. Complementing its core dressing program, Bloom also manages a retail store offering new and gently used clothing, with all proceeds directly contributing to the sustainability of the dressing services. Each participant benefits from personalized styling sessions, a crucial element in boosting self-esteem and confidence during their transition.
