As the initial network and business plan were being developed, the company sought a name that would capture the essence of the company's new business venture. The company ultimately chose the name ZIRKEL Wireless after the Mt. Zirkel Wilderness Area, one of the company's favorite places and one of the most beautiful spots on Earth. Once the company was named, the company quickly built the company's high-speed digital network and launched the company's service in the fall of 2001. Since then, demand for the company's service has increased and the company has grown in subscribers, capabilities and coverage area.
