Zimble & Brettler, LLP was originally founded in Boston in 1984 by Kenneth Zimble, a prominent long-established Boston business attorney, and Benjamin Brettler, a man of achievement in industry, who had received five degrees from MIT before he received his law degree and became an attorney at age 50. Fifteen years earlier, Zimble had been a founding partner of McCormack & Zimble, with Edward McCormack, former Attorney General of Massachusetts. Brettler had been a Senior Vice President of EG&G before becoming a partner at McCormack & Zimble. In founding Zimble & Brettler, Ken Zimble and Ben Brettler founded a firm based on their own reputations of integrity and high standards in business and the practice of law. Attorneys who have joined the firm over the last two decades in corporate, tax, litigation, real estate and other practice areas, include "graduates" of a number of major Boston and New York law firms.
