About Zach's Run
Making Precious Strides, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) community-based nonprofit organization founded in 2006 by Chris and Cheryl Dearth after their son, Zachary, was diagnosed with Hunter Syndrome (MPS Type II). The group's primary goal is to raise funds for medical research as well as generate greater awareness of the disease. The group will host its key event, a 5K run with a 1-mile walk - Zach's Run, during the fall in Ocean City, NJ. The 5K run/walk will be the group's core activity; however, other local events will be organized to raise funds and educate the community about Hunter Syndrome. Making Precious Strides will also provides financial support to the National MPS Society for greater awareness and medical research initiatives. Making Precious Strides has strong community roots and is located in Atlantic County, New Jersey. MPS, Inc. continues to grow building local awareness and supporting families in the South Jersey area.Explore more
