About Youth Opportunity Occupations Program
Youth Opportunity Occupations Program (Yoop!) is a Chehalem Youth and Family Services program dedicated to serving youth ages 16 to 21 of Yamhill County. At Yoop! youth can receive help gaining their high school diploma, GED, or pursing other career pathways. Youth can also receive assistance with job skills; including resume building, job searching, and interview skills. We help low income youth who live in Yamhill County overcome barriers to education or employment. This can include dropout, parenting, drug use, criminal background, foster care, Alternative School, disability, homelessness, or other barriers. To help youth overcome their barriers and reach their goals we have Job Club, GED preparation, Math Club, internships, and volunteer opportunities. We also provide incentives for competing steps to reach the youth's personal goals for their education and career.
