Your Physio

Yourphysio is the brainchild of Iain, and he is Director of the company. Iain graduated from the University of Queensland in 1988. He worked at The Prince Charles Hospital, then moved to Lake Maquarie to work in private practice. Here, he was heavily involved in sports physiotherapy as well as industrial physiotherapy in the mining industry. On mov... ing back to Queensland, he worked in a series of private practices and sports physiotherapy centres until 1992, when he initiated Allsports Physiotherapy at Jindalee. Whilst working at Northside Sports Injuries Clinic (Bray Park), Iain was invited to join the physiotherapy team at the Brisbane Broncos. Upon starting his new practice, he was asked to be the first physiotherapist for the Queensland Crushers, whilst at the same time was engaged by the Brisbane Broncos. During this time, he was engaged by numerous soccer clubs, as well as seeing Kenmore Rugby into the Premier Division. He was also the physiotherapist for the Queensland Suburban Rugby Team. More recently, Iain has returned to the Rugby fields in a professional capacity with GPS Rugby Club. Iain has been responsible for introducing injury management and physiotherapy programs into such companies as Sealy, Day Dawn and Alphapharm whilst at Allsports. As YourPhysio, Iain was procured to consult in the bedding division of IKEA, in order to provide expert advice in the choice of mattress for customers. Iain was responsible for starting most of the Allsports practices from nothing, but sold out in 2005 to begin yourphysio. In doing this, his main focus has been individual injury management and health and training programs for chronic injuries or health issues. He even underwent a Personal Trainer Education Course in order to better understand the fitness industry and improve physio/trainer communication and relationships.
