Young Peoples

Original owners and operators since 1978. Dennis handles financial issues and business management while Janice provides experienced wisdom on operations and management. Both are boots-on-the-ground administrators who help out with cooking, transportation, managing the front desk, repairs, training and all the hats that need to be worn daily in smal... l businesses. Growing up in an environment as great as Young Peoples, it is hard to leave. Heather uses her Master's Degree in Social Work with Children and Families (currently working on a Doctorate in Early Childhood Education at CU Denver) to bring in expertise and experience in early childhood mental health, community collaborations, family resources and resilience, and a perspective on school-as-community to better all programs at Young Peoples. She is also a parent and teacher trainer on local, state and national conferences and produces our podcasts. After working in Young Peoples classrooms for 4 years and as an Assistant Director for 3 years, Corinne left YPLC for a bit to work at Clayton Early Learning Center in Denver. She has returned with a broader sense of family and program needs but with a foundation in the philosophy of Young Peoples that make her an ideal leader for our schools. If we can't use them in the classroom immediately and don't know a family in need, we will save them for our annual garage sale where the proceeds go toward teacher bonuses.
