Yanke Construction, Inc.'s history begins in 1981 when it was first founded as Yanke's Design and Construction, Inc. by Darren Yanke. With expertise in landscape design, Darren Yanke quickly earned a reputation for delivering quality work with an artistic flare, and soon started adding brickscape into his designs. In the mid 80's, Yanke's was hard... at work building custom backyard patios for residential clients with a fashionable twist of landscaping. Yanke's was building a special brand of construction, known for its quality, efficiency in time, and structural builds that are meant to last. With this recipe for success, Yanke's took its talents to the big leagues by erecting engineered retaining wall systems on commercial construction sites. Throughout its 35 plus year history, Yanke's has earned a reputation built on hard work and dedication to a product that is aesthetically pleasing and structurally impeccable. In 2017 Yanke's added Maxwell Yanke, son of Darren Yanke, to the cast, bringing in a financial background from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Together, the pair decided to reimagine the company. Changing the name, adding a new logo, and refining their skills in construction management, time-skill organization, and resource allocation. Another addition made to the team is Hunter Urban. A project representative with a background in business from Oakland Community College.
