World Pictures specialises in travel imagery for advertising and editorial use. We are a 'rights managed' agency and do not supply images 'royalty free'. We have more than 600,000 medium format colour transparencies on file and are working to make the best of them available digitally. World Pictures was originally established as Feature-Pix Colour... Library in the early 1960's by Gerry Brenes, and supplied high quality photography and copy for editorial travel stories. Photography was supplied as medium format colour transparencies. Over time, the company found itself supplying photography exclusively; the collection of images supplied both by staff photographers and a growing network of professionals from Europe as well as the UK. We now have more than 100 contributing photographers around the world. During the 1980's the volume of business which we attracted from outside the Travel Trade greatly increased; so much so, that in 1989 the company name was changed to World Pictures - a name which better describes our collection of images. We have reciprocal arrangements with similar agencies in Italy, France, Germany, Dubai, Hong Kong and Japan. Our aim is to provide as varied a coverage as possible of the country you request; we'll try to include specific resorts & local colour as well as the famous sights and we update our files on major destinations every year.
