Founded in 2019 in Sierra Leone, Work Ready Africa (WRA) aims to address a key workforce gap that Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) across most of Sub-Saharan Africa face; access to talent that have sufficient work-ready skills to enable them rapidly scale and compete in the regional and global marketplace. WRA believes that a thriving priv... ate sector in Sierra Leone fuelled by the increased flow of growth capital from investors not only provides placement opportunities for our students but will also lead to a virtuous cycle of reduced brain drain, increased partnerships between the private sector and educational institutions (to strengthen the learning content/material delivered) and higher salaries for young graduates which in turn would further boost the growth of the private sector. Therefore we created The Investment Readiness Programs for SMEs which has been designed to facilitate increased investment flow to SMEs in Sierra Leone while also creating placement opportunities for our students.
