Woodcraft Square

We offer quality, affordable housing for elderly, disabled and family households. Our main building consists of 120 one and two bedroom units designated for seniors and disabled residents. Waitlist preference is given to applicants with elderly household members. The 88 family units include 78 two and three bedroom townhouses and 10 two bedroom gar... den flats. Applicants must be income eligible based on the very low and extremely low income limits established by HUD under the Section 8 program. Our historic main building, formerly the Weis Complex/La-Z-Boy Factory, houses our senior households and features interesting architectural details. These spacious apartments feature high ceilings, original wood beams and exposed brick while our modern townhouse units feature central A/C, front porches, individual entry and private patios. We are located less than a mile from the heart of downtown Monroe. Public transportation is available in front of the main building through Lake Erie Transit. The bus stops at Woodcraft Square every 30 minutes and continues on route to the center of the city, shopping centers, Social Security Office, City Hall, educational facilities and residential areas. Our professional on-site management and maintenance team provides friendly customer service. Woodcraft Square residents have access to on-site amenities and resident services including laundry facilities located within the main building and amongst the townhouse buildings, resident & visitor parking, a spacious community room, libraries, elevators and an outdoor courtyard at the main building, and a children's playground located near the townhouses.
