WISE KIDS is a not-for-profit company, founded in Oct 2002 by Sangeet Bhullar. WISE KIDS provides innovative training programmes and consultancy in New Media, Internet and Mobile Technologies, Internet Proficiency, Literacy and Safety. WISE KIDS believes that individuals and communities need the knowledge, skills and tools to understand and harness... the power of the Internet and Mobile technologies. This includes Media Literacy skills, which include an understanding of how the Internet works, effective and proficient use of the Internet, and the ability to use these technologies to access information, learning, participate online, create and share content and services, and network online. WISE KIDS also believes in the importance of awareness and practice of safe use of Internet and Mobile technologies. WISE KIDS believes that individuals and communities need to be understand and manage Internet Security, Privacy, and Responsibility when using Web 2.0 and other Internet and Mobile technologies, and be able to assess and manage risk in these online and mobile environments. In this way, they will have the knowledge, tools and confidence to be active participants (users and contributors) of the Knowledge Economy. WISE KIDS is committed to overcoming the Digital Divide and believes that the way forward must rest in greater education in these areas.
