About Windy Ridge Tree Farm
Windy Ridge Tree Farm, established in 1989 by Robert Kramer, produces about 20,000 bareroot seedlings each year. We collect and harvest from October through March, weather permitting. Our seedlings range in age from six months to three years at the time they are dug. The primary markets for our plants and trees are reforestation, nurseries, woodland owners and fund raiser plant sales. Fifty-percent of our native plants and trees are collected from logging, construction sites, and private land owners.
