Gerard has over 10 years experience in commercial and residential construction both as a carpenter and as a licensed contractor and engineer and has supervised and managed over $250 million in projects. Gerard began his career as a carpenter in New York state before attending Canton College of Technology. After graduating with A.S. in civil engineering technology, he continued his education at Syracuse University. Gerard then graduated with dual Bachelor's degrees in wood products engineering and construction management. After college, he worked for one of the largest commercial general contractors in the country. During this time Gerard developed a strong interest in sustainable building practices. After obtaining his LEED certification, Gerard led many commercial construction projects that have achieved the highest LEED certified standards.
