The son of a Marine Corps officer, Phil learned at an early age that honor and integrity were paramount in dealing with others. This ignited a passion in Phil to protect and defend those vulnerable to abuse, specifically children. Armed with a law degree from the University of Texas, Phil pursued his lifes mission. During his eight years as a prose... cutor in Harris County he specialized in child sexual abuse and public integrity cases. He moved to Williamson County where he served as a chief felony prosecutor in the 26th and 368th District Court. It was there that he was named Child Abuse Prosecutor of the Year in 2007 by the Williamson County Childrens Advocacy Center and Child Protective Team. In 2009, he accepted the position as First Assistant District Attorney in Montgomery County, Texas. His honorable work continued here where he has served as the President of Childrens Safe Harbor. As our First Assistant District Attorney, Phil has worked to expand the resources that Montgomery County dedicates to child sex crime investigation and prosecution helping to add two full time prosecutors, an investigator, a victim coordinator, and additional law enforcement to the team that works full time on cases. One of Phils proudest moments was being the foster/adoptive dad to three of his children. Phil lives in Montgomery and is an active member of Restoration Church. Phil Grant received his undergraduate degree in Economics from the Virginia Military Institute. He received his law degree from the University of Texas at Austin. In 2009, he accepted the position as First Assistant District Attorney in Montgomery County, Texas. As the First Assistant District Attorney of Montgomery County District Attorneys Office, Phil is responsible for the day to day management of the office including the preparation and presentation of the annual budget.
