Cook & Associates, PLLC was formed to represent the partnership with his son, William L. Cook II, CPA. As managing member, W.L. Cook works to continue the firm's commitment to a new generation of clients. In 2006, Scarbrough & Murtishaw CPAs from Fayetteville and William P. Cook & Associates, PLLC from El Dorado, joined together as two firms that were committed to top quality client service. Scarbrough & Murtishaw CPAs had its beginnings in 1952 and was founded 1979 on the principles of assisting clients with a straight-forward approach of identifying and capitalizing upon business and financial opportunities. In 2007, Sheppard, Smith & Associates, PLLC from El Dorado merged with William P. Cook & Associates, PLLC in order to offer all of the clients being served a diverse approach and commitment to future business needs. Sheppard, Smith & Associates had a long and stellar history dating back prior to 1950.
