Wilkinson Murray provides acoustical and air quality consulting services and has offices in Sydney, the Hunter/Newcastle and Illawarra/Wollongong areas in regional NSW, Queensland and Hong Kong. The firm was originally formed as Carr and Wilkinson in 1962 and has operated in its current form since 1976. Wilkinson Murray has four Directors and 20 ot... her professional personnel and support staff. Our professional staff are members of the Australian Acoustical Society or Engineers Australia. Our clients are primarily from government, transportation, manufacturing, resources and construction and we are currently involved in major projects throughout Australia, Asia and Africa. The main areas of expertise include architectural acoustics, environmental noise, transportation (road, rail & aircraft) noise and vibration, noise from resource developments, construction noise and vibration and structural dynamics. We also develop bespoke monitoring solutions and we were delighted that the directional noise monitoring technology we developed, called BarnOwl, won the inaugral Association of Australian Acoustical Consultants (AAAC) Hugh Vivian Taylor award for innovation in acoustics. Our technical and communications skills are demonstrated by our representation at Commissions of Inquiry and Land & Environment Court hearings, our dealings with regulatory authorities and our presentations at public meetings.
