About Wildherps
For the taxonomical classification of North American herps, I follow the Society for the Study of Amphibians and Reptiles . For the rest of the world, I generally follow The Reptile Database , Amphibian Species of the World , and AmphibiaWeb . I know nothing about captive care of reptiles and amphibians, so emailing me questions about that subject is kinda pointless. I do enjoy helping people identify photos of herps that they've seen, so please feel free to email me those. If you're perchance wondering where to find pictures of all the dogs my wife and I have ever had, look here and wonder no more. If you want to help dogs out on California's Central Coast, check out Peace of Mind Dog Rescue , which my wife co-founded. I started wildherps in 1996 as a way to learn a little about this newfangled thing called the world-wide web. Many thanks to C.J. Silverio for teaching me and encouraging me in those early days.
