Wicihitowin

The Wîcihitowin Indigenous Engagement Conference, established in 2014 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, aims to advance reconciliation efforts by mobilizing communities and providing resources for individuals, organizations, and institutions. The conference serves as a platform for Residential School and Sixties Scoop Survivors to share their experiences... and educate others on the impacts of the residential school system. It brings together First Nations and Métis people with various expertise and showcases Indigenous culture through performances and art. Over the years, the conference has reinvested over $1.3 million into the community, fostering respectful partnerships and dialogue between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities.Read More
