We offer you the great outdoors with miles of hiking trails, delicious meals straight from the heartland served in the Lodge's 90 year old Restaurant, amazing accommodations in quaint, historic log cabins, and outstanding service....the good olde fashioned kind...with a smile. I'm the owner and general manager and have been running this family owned business which happens to be located within one of Illinois' premiere State Parks. When I first started here I was really wet behind the ears as the saying goes. As I look back, I can only laugh at how much I had to learn. Lucky for me, guests were forgiving and willing to give second chances! I was young and definitely wanted 'change' right from the get go. I was able to talk the state into changing the name from White Pines Lodge which it had been called forever, to White Pines Inn. I also started a Dinner Theatre that first year. he Dinner Theatre morphed into mostly midweek luncheon matinee shows but we never changed the name which was always a tad bit confusing. Eventually some 30 years later, we decided it was time for a 'refresh' and we gave everything here a new coat of paint so to speak, including changing the name from White Pines Inn to White Pines Resort and the Dinner Theatre to the Pines Playhouse.
