About Whidbey Linux Users Group
Whidbey Linux Users Group (WLUG) was founded in March of 2001. While our LUG is young, we have many accomplished Linux users and administrators amoung us. The Group was originally founded by Lyle Vogtmann to address the growing need for education in the community about the Linux operating system and open source software. WLUG would like to thank all of it's supporters and anyone in the industry who is making the Linux OS gain precedence in a world seemingly dominated by Microsoft. WLUG members are experts and novices, professionals and hobbyists, young and old, even sighted and blind! We provide a place for Linux enthusiasts and budding system administrators to learn about their favorite OS. We are primarily a social organization, with meetings and discussions geared toward the Open Source user. WLUG would like to welcome anyone to become a member of our organization.
