Where Imagination Grows Daycare began by a mother who no longer wanted a 9-5 and longed for a career where she could spend more time with her 2 year old and fulfill her long time dream of working with children. My name is Amanda Monahan and I am the Owner of Where Imagination Grows Daycare! I have always had a passion for children and the desire st... rengthened two years ago when I had my son. There is no greater gift than that of a child and that is why it is my mission to not only educate each child but care for them as my own. At Where Imagination Grows Daycare, we understand how difficult it may be for a parent to entrust us with their little one but we make the process for both parent and child as easy and comfortable as possible. We understand the importance of learning and provide a full curriculum for all age groups in our care. W.I.G.D. is not only a place for your children to be cared for while you are working 9-10 hours a day but a place to learn and have fun doing it! We do not approach learning in a strict classroom atmosphere, as they have plenty of time to do that once they are in the grade school level. Learning through play is what is enforced and practiced. The main components we focus on are Early Literacy & Language Development, Sensory Awareness & Motor Skills, Music & Movement, Our Bodies and Social & Emotional Development.
