As either investors or consultants, we work with our portfolio companies and clients to determine the appropriate direction a company shall undertake in regard to growing the business to either critical mass or the next level through aggressive internal measures, through a merger with a peer or with a company of greater size and resources or an acquisition to facilitate the company's vertical integration. We spend considerable time working with senior management to move forward with implementing its business plan, strategic planning issues and developing exit strategies for our investors or clients. We devote a tremendous amount of resources on individual company research, market research and analysis, specific industry research and macroeconomic analysis. We have had direct participation in economic and financial feasibility studies on several international projects in food processing and distribution and in the secondary educational market.
