Our Managing Director Charlie Marais is one of only a handful of Instructors in South Africa who maintains the position of a Grade I Designated Flight Examiner on both Fixed Wing Aircraft and Helicopters. He has been appointed by the SACAA for the testing of PPL, CPL and ATPL flight tests. He is also one of very few FI-DFE Instructors in the countr... y on both Fixed Wing Aircraft and Helicopters allowing him to conduct initial Flight Instructors Tests as well as Renewals. Charlie also specializes in an extensive range of Aviation Safety Courses and is well known for the passion with which he spreads the gospel of Aviation Safety. With his extensive aviation history as an ex-military commander, he leaves a lasting impression on both very experienced airline pilots and on the pilots of tomorrow.
