Westerville Schools

Taxpayers for Westerville Schools is a not-for-profit community-based group. Our mission is to inform the community by sharing information about our school district. We are leading the way to have more of our tax dollars go into the classroom and for a budget that places our children first. We will discuss and show how our District is spending our... tax dollars. We care about our community as a whole, which includes the children, their families, and our neighbors. Our elected School Board members need to hear from more taxpayers and not just the school establishment. For too long, citizens have let schools decide what to teach, what programs are important, and how much it will cost. Residents in our community offer valuable insights and expertise in various areas: Taxpayers for Westerville Schools has presented dozens of ideas for savings to the Board of Education proving that we can have a great school district with sustainable spending that doesn't call for raising taxes every 2 to 3 years. We, the residents of the school district, have the expertise needed to make a positive difference - one of our members, for instance, was instrumental in saving the district over $28,000,000 - just a few years ago.Read More
