Westcoast Child Development Group Inc. brings together a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals to work with children, youth, and families. Our team includes Registered Psychologists, Clinical Counsellors, Speech-Language Pathologists. The clinicians with Westcoast Child Development Group work closely with individuals who are experie... ncing issues that include: depression, anxiety, school and family problems, social skills difficulties, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, learning disabilities, behavioural issues, and autistic spectrum disorders. We work directly with children, families, and adults and also provide consultation to schools, mental health facilities, and employers. At the Westcoast Child Development Group we work hard to ensure that the most up-to-date assessment and empirically-supported clinical treatments are available. Our team are all registered clinicians who are governed by their respective licensure bodies and strive to maintain a high degree of professionalism. We currently offer Psychoeducational and Diagnostic assessments in Chinese. We are now offering Executive Functioning Coaching for youth and adults who are struggling with planning, organizing, studying, and general inattention. Individual Treatment: Staff with the Westcoast Child Development Group adopt a Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy model that centres on short-term, goal-driven therapies. Each therapeutic contract is outlined with the client and is repeatedly updated over the course of treatment. Treatment programs are currently being offered for a number of issues that include: depression, anxiety, autism spectrum disorders, AD/HD, school, and family concerns. Therapeutic sessions are 50 minutes in length. Family Therapy: Treatment with children and youth requires the input and support of family members. Family therapy meetings are offered to assist each family in working toward a healthier home environment and to work on practical, collaborative solutions.
