West Gate Christian School

West Gate Christian School is an educational ministry of West Gate Baptist Church. The school was started in 1965, by those who had a desire to provide young people with Christian education. We are so excited to be celebrating 50 years of providing quality, Christian education. K-3 through 12th grade classes are offered. The Bible is the focal poin... t of our curriculum, permeating daily instruction in all subjects. All students participate in Bible class or chapel services every day. We use the A Beka Book curriculum in a traditionally-advanced classroom setting. By design, our class sizes are smaller, maximizing the student-teacher ratio. Our students successfully test several years above their grade level every year. At WGCS, we desire for students to have a heart for God. Our goal is that each student will be a full-time Christian. We desire to instill Christian values into each young person, teaching both in word and in deed. Every student is encouraged to be actively involved in his church and to give God his best. Our mascot is the Patriot. We desire that all students would be patriotic. America has a great Christian heritage, and we are thankful to be a part of such a great nation. Students are taught that a great price was paid for the freedoms that we enjoy, and we are responsible as Patriots, and as Christians, to do our part to keep this nation free. We offer a well-balanced education, realizing that students learn from more than just textbooks.
