West Coast Eye Care has been dedicated to serving the ophthalmology and optical needs of residents in Fort Myers and the surrounding areas since 1990. We offer full service vision care from cataract, glaucoma, and comprehensive eye exams to a wide variety of designer and fashion eyewear. Dr. Aouchiche is one of just a few neuro-ophthalmologists in... the SW Florida area. He is the only neuro-ophthalmologist in Lee and Collier Counties accepting new patients for neuro-ophthalmic conditions. Rachid Aouchiche, M.D., F.A.C.S. is well known for the treatment of such disorders as optic nerve diseases, optic neuritis, double vision, and various disorders involving the ocular motor system. Patients who suffer from multiple sclerosis, thyroid disease, myasthenia gravis, stroke, diabetes, or hypertension often also have accompanying neuro-ophthalmic vision problems that can be treated by Dr. Aouchiche. Dr. Brenda Hart is a board certified therapeutic optometric physician who has practiced in Ft. Myers since 1993. We are pleased to have had her join West Coast Eye Care in January 2014. West Coast Eye Care also employs the only orthoptist in Lee and Collier Counties. Kim Aouchiche, C.O., C.O.T. is a certified orthoptist specially trained in the diagnosis and treatment of vision disorders in children, such as strabismus, amblyopia, and other vision related problems that affect binocular vision, or the ability to focus both eyes together. She also treats adults with eye muscle disorders and double vision (diplopia).
