Weld-Con Ltd. was established in 1986, as a Mechanical Contracting company primarily to serve the Petroleum Industry. The Managing Director is a Civil Engineering graduate from the University of Alberta, Canada (1980) and was a Design and Construction Engineer for Chevron Oil Company in Canada and Sudan from 1980 to 1986. He is also a registered Pr... ofessional Engineer in Alberta, Canada. Initially, the company mainly undertook piping works in Bulk Liquid Storage Terminals based in Mombasa. Through the years, Weld-Con Ltd. has seen exponential growth and has evolved into a major player in Eastern Africa as a Prime Mechanical Contractor for all industries, undertaking the following works: Construction of Vertical Storage Tanks to API 650 for Petroleum and Edible Oils Tank Maintenance and Repairs to API 653 Construction of Cross Country Pipelines to ASME B31.4 / CSA Z662-03 Plant Piping to ASME B31.3 Plant and Equipment Erection Structural Steel Fabrication and Erection Fabrication of Steel Vessels Gritblasting and Airless Spray Painting Equipment Hire Continuous investments over the years have allowed us to compile a sizeable equipment base, which is backed up by a strong preventative maintenance programme. Weld-Con Ltd. employs a qualified and experienced work team, which includes Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, Foremen, Fitters and Coded welders. Our Quality Control/Assurance Department ensures that all works are carried out to the highest standards and meet all requirements of the specified Codes of Construction and Clients Quality requirements. Health, Safety and Environment awareness is a major priority for us. This is strictly implemented through our HSE Policy, HSE Action Plan and Employee/Employee Safety Charter. The company employs a full time Safety Advisor and each Site is manned by a dedicated Safety Officer.
